The digital collections of the Greek State Archives offer a wealth of information to those of us interested in Greek genealogy.  As part of their online collection is the "Election Material From the Collection of Vlachoyiannis" .  This includes "General Election Lists" for each Municipality; recorded by community (city, village, settlement, etc.). You can view a scanned copy of each list, printed in the Greek language.  This is a GREAT resource, but very difficult to navigate for those who do not read Greek.  Each row includes:  Line # -  Given Name, Surname - Father's Name -  Age - Occupation. Canadian Census Records are available through several websites including FamilySearch.org and Ancestry.com In many cases they have transcribed the same records, in some cases different sets of records.  Remember that we are talking about two or more different people transcribing handwriting.  It is not unusual for there to be different interpretations.   If you can't find who you are looking for in the FREE FamilySearch.org records, try the Ancestry.com records (available for free at most local libraries). FamilySearch.org has a FREE database titled CHILE, MARRIAGES, 1579-1930 that has 18 entries for people born in Greece. Description of Records Index to selected Catholic Church marriage records from various localities in Chile. The year range in the collection title represents the years covered by the majority of the records; however, some records may be from earlier or later years. This collection does not include images of the original records.

FamilySearch.org has a FREE database titled MARYLAND, BALTIMORE PASSENGER LISTS, 1820-1948 which includes 937 people showing Greece as their place of birth . Record Description from FamilySearch.org This collection consists of the index and images of passenger arrivals in Baltimore, Maryland. This collection contains records from three NARA publication including M255 (Passenger Lists of Vessels Arriving at Baltimore, 1820-1891); M596 (Quarterly Abstracts of Passenger Lists of Vessels Arriving at Baltimore, 1820-1869); and T844 (Passenger Lists of Vessels Arriving at Baltimore, 1891-1948). The passenger arrival list was used by legal inspectors to cross-examine each immigrant during a legal inspection prior to the person being allowed to live in America.
