Can someone help translate this?

My grandfather's sister embroidered this table runner in 1922.  My cousin had it framed and it is hanging in her dining room.  We know it's lovely, but none of us understand exactly what it says.  Can someone translate this for us?

Thanks,
Georgia

    1. Το πεπρωμένον φυγείν αδύνατον, meaning "It's impossible to escape fate." Τhe script is cursive and narrow-spaced, so some consecutive letters are almost joined into one, as in the case of the final letter of the phrase "ν," which is joined to the preceeding "o" giving the appearance of "a," a fact which confused the previous person to give an answer.
