Very interesting!  I never looked into this area of Greek immigrant history before.  My immigrant ancestors all worked in private businesses i.e. restaurants or the fruit and vegetable business, and my maternal great-grandfather worked as a house painter.   They may have been sympathetic to the Socialist and Communist causes, but I never heard anything about it.  I will definitely be doing more research on this subject.
