List of 693 Greece Born Died During Deportation WWII

I recently had the blogger at “Abravanel – Jewish life and not only in Greece” forward me this link to a list of 693 people born in Greece who died during deportation from France during World War II.

Good luck with your Greek family genealogy research.

  1. Thanks, I am gathering geneology resources and by chance I found your site and especially this - great work and one of a kind since the book is currently unavailable at Amazon.

  2. Dear Mrs.Georgua Keilman,
Can you please tell where can I in Greece get marriage document of the wedding between Mrs. Alexandra(Sarah) OZMO (or Osmo)born in Corfu 1915, survivor of the WW2, and her Christian husband Mr. Costadino Shif or Shifros or Shirot( we do not know exactly his surname),which took place in Athens around the years
    1946-1947.
we know that Costadino ,who also was in Bergen-Belsen and there he met Alexandra (Jewish) died in 1947-8 in Athens (Piraeus) from tuberculosis.
The couple had two sons born also in Athens:1946,1948)
After Costadino died ,Sarah immigrated to Israel
    (1949)with her two sons.

Now her sons, who never knew the father, are trying to find documents about his death, about his marriage and about their birth.

Do you have any idea how to get those documents.

Thank you in advance and have a good new year.
