MACEDONIA IN GRIP OF ANARCHY
Since Introduction of Reforms Hundreds
of Greeks Have Been Tortured
Washington, D.C., Nov. 23 - A report received in Washington through crucial sources says that a state of anarchy has become epidemic throughout Macedonia. Since the introduction of reforms hundreds of Greeks of the better class have been tortured to death or burned alive by Bulgarian bands. As a result the Greeks have taken the law into their own hands. Over 1,000 men in the last month have crossed the Greek frontier with the object of retaliating and protecting their own countrymen.
